Asphalt Base Installation, Houston
Whether your project includes an asphalt parking lot, roadway, or other area, asphalt base installation in Houston is a major concern of any asphalt project. You need to know that you can trust your construction contractors to install a durable, long-lasting base. A1SP provides several options in bases, and these can greatly extend the life of the asphalt pavement and reduce cracks, potholes, and other issues.
Limestone Base Installation
Asphalt rests on a limestone base that is water soluble and can dissolve completely, causing potholes. Any crack in the pavement that is 3/8th inch or larger should be quickly filled with a hot crack sealant to prevent water from reaching the limestone. This will extend the life and improve the appearance of an asphalt surface. A1SP has over 20 years of experience in successfully installing a range of high quality, limestone bases throughout Houston. Our top-of-the-line equipment and professional team can quickly and efficiently build a durable base under your asphalt pavement installation.
Stabilized Base Installation
Stabilized base layers, sometimes referred to as subbase layers, are installed underneath pavement and usually comprised of a binder material and a compacted mixture of cementitious and aggregate material. A solid base is important to reduce the future cracks and other problems. There are many options available for materials, and our decades of experience give us the specialized knowledge to select the optimal mixture for your project and your budget.
Types of base installations include:
